Yale Bologna Festival Frequently Asked Questions

In case you were wondering...

here are some questions we get asked a lot...

 

#1 - Yes. You must have a permit number from City Hall to drive a golf cart, side-by-side, or gator in town during the festival because that's the rule. The permits are $15 and can be purchased Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.


#2 - The Fireworks will be Friday night. They will only be postponed to Saturday in case of heavy rain. We will announce any changes on Facebook so please stay tuned.


#3 - Parking is always first come first serve and is at a premium. Thank you for your patience.


#4 - Festival setup will begin on Thursday. Please remember that downtown routes and parking will be affected. Again, thank you for your patience.


#5  - 30 minutes prior to the following events and during the Parade, 5K Run, and Car Show: McColl Street, Main Street, Yale Road / Park Avenue, and School Drive, or a combination of these streets, will not be accessible during event times. #9 - The Information & T-shirt Booth is located at the Yale Area Chamber of Commerce at 102 S. Main St., Yale, MI 48097. It is just south of the main stage. The phone number is 810-387-9253


#10 - Vendors - When we have filled all of the available spaces for the weekend, we can take your information in case we have a cancellation and for other event opportunities.


#11 - Thank you for being kind to our volunteers!


#12 - How much candy do I need to bring to hand out in the parade? LOTS! We recommend about 2,000 pieces of candy. 


#13 - When does the parade start? The parade leaves the staging area at Yale High School at 5:30pm. It reaches the stage downtown at 6pm. It lasts about an hour.
